Background adjustment method

Ι. Adjustment conditions
1) Adjustment item: Process mode, DLP menu
GAMMA
R-GAIN, G-GAIN, B-GAIN
2) Input signal: Component video 75% white signal
1 With the component video 100% white signal, adjust the output to 0.7 ± 0.05 Vp-p (excluding the synchro-
nous part.) (The sync signal is 0.3 Vp-p.)
2 Next drop the image signal output to 75%.
3 Input the signal to INPUT5 (DVI-I connector).
3) Target adjustment chromaticity
x = 0.290 ± 0.005
y = 0.311 ± 0.005 (Color temperature: 8500K, +6UV)

ΙΙ. Adjustment procedures
1) Select GAMMA from the DLP menu and set the value to “6”. (Initial value = 6)
2) Set R-GAIN, G-GAIN, B-GAIN to “96”. (Initial value = 95)
3) Background adjustment
1 Project on a 40-inch screen, and observe the chromaticity in the center with a color meter.
2 Fix G-GAIN to 95.
3 Adjust the x and y values to the target adjustment chromaticity with B-GAIN. However, the adjusted value is
up to 115 at maximum.
4 Adjust the x and y values to the target adjustment chromaticity with R-GAIN. However, the adjusted value is
up to 115 at maximum.
When the R-GAIN value is 115 and the x value cannot be adjusted,
1) Lower the B-GAIN and adjust to x = 0.290.
2) Lower the G-GAIN and adjust to y = 0.331.
5 Check that the middle gradation is not greatly deviated.
4) Exit the DLP menu by pressing the UNDO key on the remote control.
