LISTENING TO RADIO BROADCASTS
Auto tuning
• Each time this button is pressed, the band changes as follows;
→ FM ST → FM MONO → AM
("ST" lights up) ("ST" goes off)
• When FM stereo broadcasts are poor because of weak
broadcast signals, select the FM mono mode to reduce the
noise, then FM broadcasts are reproduced in monaural sound.
• Each time this button is pressed, the mode changes as follows;
HD AUTO: To tune in HD Radio™ stations first.
(However, if there are no HD Radio™ stations,
to tune in analog stations.)
ANALOG: To tune in analog stations only.
• The tuner will now search until a station of sufficient
strength has been found. The display shows the tuned
station name or frequency, etc..
• If the station found is not the desired one, simply
repeat this operation.
• Weak stations are skipped during auto tuning.
Example)
• When an HD Radio™ station(that has multiple audio
programs) is tuned in
• When an analog station is tuned in
1. Select the desired band.
2. Select the desired search mode depending on
whether tuning in HD Radio™ stations or not.
3. Press the TUNING UP(+)/DOWN(-) buttons for
more than 0.5 second.
• This receiver is the HD Radio™ receiver that can receive not only the conventional FM/AM broadcasts but also HD Radio™
broadcasts.
