What to do if the Shimaden Controller displays an incorrect PV value?
    • C
      Courtney BarrettAug 20, 2025
If the displayed PV value seems incorrect, verify that the set measuring range code is correct for the input signal. Also, check the wiring to the input terminals of the sensor and correct if necessary.

What to do if the Shimaden SR93 front panel display goes out and it stops operating?
    • T
      Teresa WilliamsAug 22, 2025
If the display on the front panel goes out and the instrument does not operate, inspect the power source and wiring connections, checking the wiring. Additionally, examine the product for deterioration and repair or replace it as needed.

Why is my Shimaden SR93 key unable to be operated?
    • D
      denise74Aug 25, 2025
If a key is unable to be operated, it may be because the keylock is active, so release the keylock. Another reason could be deterioration of the product, in which case you should examine, repair, or replace the product. If the communication function is added, check if the communication mode (Com) has been set, and if so, change the communication setting to the local mode (Loc).

What to do if Shimaden SR93 Controller indicates higher limit side scaleover?
    • J
      josehensleyAug 27, 2025
If the controller indicates a higher limit side scaleover, check the thermocouple input wiring for breaks and replace if necessary. Also, check R.T.D. input A wiring for breaks and replace the R.T.D. if needed. For voltage or current input, verify the transmitting unit of measured values and ensure the set code of the measuring range is correct for the input signal; it may be that the input measured value exceeded higher limit of measuring range by 10%.

How to fix too fast ON-OFF action of Shimaden Controller control output?
    • D
      Debra ToddAug 28, 2025
If the ON-OFF action of the control output is too fast, increase the hysteresis value of the ON-OFF action.
  • M

What does it mean if the Shimaden SR93 Controller shows a lower limit side scaleover?
    • R
      Raymond FritzAug 30, 2025
If the controller shows a lower limit side scaleover, check the wiring for reverse polarity or breaks in the measured value input; it may be that the input measured value fell from lower limit of measuring range by 10%.

What to do if Shimaden SR93 Controller displays higher limit side scaleover of cold junction (CJ)?
    • R
      Roberto CabreraSep 1, 2025
If the controller displays a higher limit side scaleover of the cold junction (CJ), reduce the ambient temperature to the level provided in the environment conditions for the product, if the ambient temperature of the product has exceeded 80°C. In case ambient temperature has not exceeded 80°C, examine the product.

What to do if Shimaden SR93 displays higher limit side scaleover of cold junction (CJ) of thermocouple input?
    • A
      April WhiteSep 3, 2025
If the Shimaden Controller displays a higher limit side scaleover of the cold junction (CJ) of thermocouple input, raise the ambient temperature to the level provided in the environment conditions for the product if the ambient temperature of the product has fallen to -20°C or lower. In case ambient temperature has not fallen to í20°C or lower, examine the product.

What to do if there is a break of R.T.D. input wiring in Shimaden SR93?
    • X
      xbrownSep 5, 2025
Check R.T.D. input terminals A, B and B for breaks. If wiring has no problem, replace R.T.D.

What does it mean if Shimaden Controller input value from heater current detector has exceeded 55.0A?
    • W
      Wendy ClementsSep 7, 2025
If the input value from the heater current detector has exceeded 55.0A, it indicates excess current. Reduce the current. Also, examine the product.
