Attach the screw fitting
Screw in the screw fittings with thread sealing tape.
● Only use thread sealing tape with the correct width.
The sealing tape must not be wider than the thread.
● Do not allow the sealing tape to protrude beyond the edge of the thread.
● Only use thread sealing tape suitable for the measured medium (normally Teflon seal-
ing tape).
The following description serves only as an overview of how screw fittings can be screwed
in.
In case of doubt, observe the instructions of the screw connection manufacturer.
Procedure
1 Begin with the first (innermost) turn of the screw fitting and wrap the sealing tape
around the thread in approx. 3 to 4 layers in the direction of the thread with a slight
overlap for each layer.
2 Screw the screw fitting in.
