Leak tightness test of MCS100E HW sampling system
This test is only possible if no FID is installed.
This test switches the gas sampling probe off gas-tight and checks the complete path com-
prising the gas sampling probe, sample gas line and sample gas pump for leaks.
1 Recommendation: Check the zero point of the flow meter (
P. 18, § 3.7)
Note: Some of the preparation work listed below will then have been performed already.
2 View the "bar graph" display (F2 key).
3 Switch the MCS100E HW to "Stand-by". To do this:
Press the F3 function key.
Select "System Stop" (confirm safety prompt with "Yes").
4 Call up the "Leak Test" menu (confirm safety prompt with "Yes").
Exit the menu with "ESC" (otherwise the diagram will not be updated).
5 Wait until the flow meter ("Flow" display) indicates a value slightly higher
than "0" (+5 l/h)
6 End the leak test:
Press the F3 function key.
Select "System Stop" (confirm safety prompt with "Yes").
7 Switch the MCS100E HW to measuring mode.
Select "System Start" (confirm safety prompt with "Yes").
Exit the menu with "ESC".

Do not switch off the compressed air supply.
Otherwise the gas sampling probe is not switched off.
