6.13
Permitted length of ICMP packets
Permitted length of ICMP packets
Pings with a packet size of more than 1000 bytes are evaluated as an attack and filtered by
the CP. This response is intentional and improves the robustness of the CP in an industrial
environment.
6.14
Downtime if an S7 connection aborts
Note
Downtime if an S7 connection aborts
If an S7 connection is aborted, for example failure of the connection partner, it can take up to
40 s before the connection abort is recognized in the block. Block processing is aborted and
the block resource is available again. This applies to BSEND (FB12), BRCV (FB13), USEND
(FB8), URCV (FB9).
With PUT/GET, bloc
k processing cannot be aborted.
