About this document
Purpose
This document is a guide to the planning, installation and configuration of the
NK8000 safety and security network. It includes an overview of the system, hard-
ware requirements and limitations, and detailed installation and configuration in-
structions. Hardware components detailed in this manual include the NK8223 /
NK8222 Ethernet Ports, and the NK8225 Ethernet Port with BACnet Gateway.
This guide is to be used in conjunction with the product-specific Danger Manage-
ment System Installation, Configuration, and Commissioning guide (MM8000 /
MK8000 / MT8001), and the DMS Connectivity Guides when configuring a NK8000
network. (See “Reference documents” below to learn how to obtain these guides.)
Target group
This manual is written primarily for Support Technicians, Engineers, and those re-
sponsible for the installation and configuration of the NK822x(s). It assumes the
reader has at least a moderate level of familiarity with standard networking con-
cepts and terminology, along with the SBT PL-DMS products. Typically, persons
responsible for these activities will have already attended a one-day training course
on the procedures covered in this manual.

1. Choose "Our Offering" from the upper-left of the screen.
