WHAT TO DO IF ...
...NUMBERS ARE FLASHING ON THE DISPLAY
This is an indication that a measured value is not being acquired correctly.
Note. The detection of measurement range crossings depends on the type of sensor used.
Display Description Cause / controller behavior / remedy
Actual value display (red) shows 
"1999" flashing.
Setpoint display shows the set-
point.
Overrange or underrange on analog input 1.
The actual value has not been measured.
Controller initiates lockout.
The auxiliary contact responds to analog input 1 
according to the configuration (C113).
Check the electrical connections and the probe 
status (fault).
When analog input 3 is configured 
for outside temperature (C111) 
and the measurement is called up, 
the actual value display (red) 
shows "1999" flashing.
Overrange or underrange on analog input 3.
The outside temperature has not been measured!
The outside temperature setpoint is inactive!
Check the electrical connections and the probe 
status (fault).
When analog input 2 is configured 
(C111) and the measurement is 
called up, the process value dis-
play (red) shows "1999" flashing.
Overrange or underrange on analog input 2.
The external setpoint has not been measured. 
Controller initiates lockout.
Check the electrical connections and the external 
setpoint signal.
Actual value display (red) shows 
"XXXXXX".
Setpoint display (green) shows 
"1999" flashing.
Overrange or underrange on analog input 2.
The setpoint shift has not been measured. Con-
troller initiates lockout.
Check the electrical connections and the external 
setpoint signal.
