2.2 Measuring inputs
Current measurement
Alternating current measurement only
The device is not suitable for measuring DC current.
Danger of electric shock. Will cause death, serious injury or damage to property.
The device is designed for connection to the low-voltage system via external current
transformers. Only connect the current measuring inputs to the low-voltage system via
suitable current transformers.
The power monitoring device is designed for:
• Measuring current of 1 A or 5 A for connecting standard current transformers. Each
current measuring input can take a continuous load of 10 A. Surge withstand capability is
possible for currents up to 100 A and a duration of 1 s.
Voltage measurement
AC voltage measurement only
The device is not suitable for measuring DC voltage.
The power monitoring device is designed for:
• Direct measurement on the system or using voltage transformers. The measuring
voltage inputs of the device measure directly via protective impedances. External voltage
transformers are required to measure higher voltages than the permissible rated input
voltages.
• Measuring voltage up to U
L-N = 280 V.
Connection types
Two connection types are provided for connecting three-wire and four-wire systems.
