7.1 Introduction
Device settings
The chapter headed "Parameterizing" describes the device settings. These include:
• Adjustment to the physical conditions of use
• Integration into the communication system
• Country-specific settings, ergonomics, device protection
It is possible to set the device by means of:
• The operator interface of the device
• powerconfig configuration software
• RS485 interface (Modbus)

-delivered state, the device settings can be changed. We recommend that you
activate password protection on commissioning to safeguard against unauthorized or
inadvertent changes.
