5.3 Restarting and resetting
Functions and execution
The following functions are available for resetting:

Restart
The configuration data is retained.
The gateway performs a restart.
You can perform the function via:
– WBM: "Maintenance > Communication / Restart"

Reset to factory settings
The configuration data is deleted.
The data on an optional CLP are deleted as well.
The gateway performs a restart.
You can perform the function via:
– "SET" button
To operate the button, refer to the section The button "SET" (Page 28).
– WBM: "Maintenance > Communication / Restart"
Restart
The gateway ends productive operation, restarts automatically and takes up productive
operation again with the existing configuration data.
Resetting to factory settings: Effect
Note
Data is deleted
With the
resetting to factory settings, all configuration data and process data on the gateway
is deleted.
With a reset to factory settings, the gateway can only be reached over the factory default
address data.
