Equipotential bonding
An additional earth connection serves as equipotential bonding for the AC power supply to
discharge interference transmitted to the I/O devices by external power supply cables, signal
cables or cables.
Requirement
● T20 screwdriver
● Cable lug for M4
● PE conductor with a minimum cross-section of 2.5 mm

Procedure
1.
Clamp the cable lug onto the
earth connection.
– PE conductor: yellow-green,
as depicted.
– Equipotential bonding: black
2.
Using the M4 thread, fi
rmly attach
the cable lug to the earth
connection on the device.
3.
Connect the PE conductor or
equipotential bonding with the
earth connection of the cabinet or
plant in which the device is
installed.
