11.4 BIOS Recovery
The "BIOS-Recovery" function is used to reinstall the device when a BIOS is unusable.
All BIOS Setup settings will be lost in the recovery. You have to set these values again after
a successful recovery.
Procedure
37. Switch off the device.
38. Remove the device cover and install the jumper on the main board as described in
"Recovery". The jumper is located at the edge of the main board between the slots for
memory modules
① and the fan connector ②.

39. Close the housing cover.
40. Place the Siemens BIOS Update USB stick into an USB slot of the device front.
41. Connect the device to the power supply.
Recovery is executed automatically and cannot be interrupted or operated. The recovery
progress will be displayed on the screen.
42. Turn off the device after recovery.
43. Install the jumper
① on "park position" and close the device.
44. Remove the BIOS Update USB stick.
45. Switch the device on.
46. Press <F2> to open the BIOS Setup.
47. Adjust the BIOS setup values once again, if necessary.
