Drive rack for removable rack: Removing a HDD from the HDD carrier
How to remove the HDD from the motherboard
1. Remove the HDD carrier as
described in section 5Removing and
inserting the HDD carrier
(Page 282).
2. Turn the HDD carrier upside down
and loosen the four screws on the
bottom of the HDD carrier with a
PH No. 1 Philips screwdriver. Make
sure that you do not drop the HDD
on a hard surface. Place the hard
disk rack on a suitable surface
when you remove the HDD.
3. Remove the hard disk from the
carrier.
The HDD is removed from the HDD carrier.

How to install the HDD
1. Always replace the defective hard
disk with a new one of the same type
and capacity. Take care not to touch
the contacts.
2. Secure the hard disk with the four
screws on the base of the carrier.
Always use only the specified original
screws for the installation.
3. Insert the HDD carrier again as
described in section
5Removing and
inserting the HDD carrier (Page 282).
