Failsafe DM-F LOCAL digital module
Safety-related function
The safety-related function comprises:
● The safe state is the OFF state (enabling circuits opened)
● Tripping of a motor by controlling the actuators (the contactors that switch the motor on
and off) in a safety-related way.
● Safety-related evaluation of
– Hardware signals, e.g. fail-safe output, or
– Sensors, e.g. emergency stop actuators that are detected and evaluated locally, i.e. in
the safety relay.
