Duty cycles with constant ON duration
For duty cycles with constant ON duration, there are speci󹪝c requirements for the torque
characteristic curve as a function of the speed, for example:
M = constant, M ~ n

The drives with this load cycle typically operate at a stationary operating point.
Procedure
1. Con󹪝gure a base load for the stationary operating point. The base load torque must lie below
the S1 characteristic.
2. In the event of transient overloads (e.g. during acceleration), con󹪝gure an overload.
Calculate the overload current in relation to the required overload torque. The overload
torque must lie below the M_max characteristic.
In summary, the motor is con󹪝gured as follows:
