Note
Using an external pressure sensor
An external pressure sensor can process ambient or sample gas pressure values up to 3 bar
(abs.), regardless of the application.
You can obtain additional information on the use of external pressure sensors from your
service partner: →

Note
Enable analog and digital outputs
If
you subsequently install an option module 2.1, you must enable the analog and digital
outputs using SIMATIC PDM after restarting:
Establish a connection between SIMATIC PDM and the analyzer.
You may have to log on at the Expert level.
Navigate to: Parameter group overview > Properties > Device
For the "Option module 2.1" parameter, set the value "Yes".
Transfer the modified parameter assignment to the device.

Gas preparation
The condensation of the sample gas in the gas path and the soiling of the parts through
which the sample gas flows can result in a measured value error or even failure of the
analyzer. To prevent this, the sample gas has to be prepared in accordance with t
he
In order to keep the sample gas/reference gas free of dusts and condensate, observe the
following information:
● Position the suitable absorption filter before the device in order to filter out corrosiv
e
c
omponents or components which interfere with measuring.
● Make sure that the sample gas does not condense in the gas preparation unit and in t
he
ana
lyzer itself.
Prevent condensation of the sample gas with suitable measures, for example: Connect a
cooler or condensate separator upstream of the device. Heat the device.
