• Mechanical damage
• Vibrations
• Shock
• Contamination
• Intrusion of dust
• Corrosive media
• Moisture and condensation
• Signicant and rapid temperature uctuations
• Strong air ow
3.4 Rack-mounted device
3.4.1 Safety notes for hazardous areas
WARNING
Risk of explosion resulting from improper installation
• Install the devices only in control cabinet/enclosure types, in hazardous areas, that meet the
requirements of EN/IEC 60079-7 and are correspondingly approved.
• An air exchange of at least 5-times the volume of the enclosure per hour, but at least 164
l/h, is required for the introduction of hazardous gases. Ensure the specied air exchange
using suitable ventilation measure.
