5.1 Basic safety notes
WARNING
Improper commissioning in hazardous areas
Device failure or risk of explosion in hazardous areas.
● Do not commission the device until it has been mounted completely and connected in
accordance with the information in Installing/mounting (Page 21).
● Before commissioning take the effect on other devices in the system into account.
WARNING
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns resulting from hot surfaces.
● Take corresponding protective measures, for example by wearing protective gloves.
WARNING
Loss of type of protection
Risk of explosion. Damage to device if the enclosure is open or not properly closed. The type
of protection specified on the nameplate or in Technical data (Page 57) is no longer
guaranteed.
● Make sure that the device is securely closed.
WARNING
Hazardous contact voltage
Risk of injury through hazardous contact voltage when the device is open or not completely
closed.
The degree of protection specified on the nameplate or in Technical data (Page 57) is no
longer guaranteed if the device is open or not properly closed.
● Make sure that the device is securely closed.
