4.2 Operation (HART communication)
The device can be operated with:
• operating and display panel
• HART-Communicator
• PC/Laptop and software SIMATIC PDM with HART modem (coupling module)
Electrical connection of PC/Laptop with HART modem and HART-Communicators to 4 - 20 mA
signal line is shown in figure below.

Do not use coupling module (HART modem) in hazardous areas and do not connect to
intrinsically safe circuits.
