Eliminating process errors
Only two general groups of errors are shown in the display. “Process error” and “device error”.
Device errors describe hardware errors. Two main groups of errors are:
Measuring path disturbed The medium in the measuring line is not permeable to
sound, this applies both when the pipe is filled with gas or
is empty. The measured value on the display is set to zero.
Cable is broken or detached.
Flow measurement unreliable The measured values have a very high dispersion so that
errors in the measuring evaluation or disturbances in the
flow due to cavitation, twist or inhomogenity such as bubbles
or foreign bodies.
Measured values are displayed but an “F” flashes in the
right hand corner of the display.
