1.3 Precision measuring system
The ultrasonic flowmeter is a precision measuring system that is “user friendly”, but must be
installed in accordance with the instructions given in these operating instructions.
1.4 Literature overview
The SITRANS F US ultrasonic flowmeter systems consist of a sensor and a transmitter. The
systems consists of sensor type SONO 3100, SONO 3300 or SONOKIT and the transmitter type
FUS060. The following table shows the ultrasonic flowmeter systems with the transmitter type
FUS060:

SITRANS F US sensor and transmitter versions have separate operating instructions.
These operating instructions concern only the FUS060 HART transmitter part of the flow
meter system. The FUS060 Profibus PA transmitter version and SONO 3100, SONO 3300
or SONOKIT sensors have separate operating instructions.
