3.3. File Types
The following file types are produced by the C12 instrument:
Event files (.log)
Interval files (.interval)
Transient files (.transient)
Event and interval files are handled in a special way when a connection to
the data server is initiated. The current file is closed and moved to the
spooldirectory, and a new file is opened for future data storage. This
method minimizes the amount of data that is sent to the data server (over
GSM/GPRS), because no data is sent more than once.
The data file naming conventions follows the INFRA data logger rules:
INFRA_S1_0_L_T.log, X_S2_C_L_T.intervaland
X_S2_C_L_T.transient’.
S1 is the serial number of the entire C12 instrument (xxxx0).
L is the file sequence number since start on monitoring.
T is the file creation date/time in number of seconds since
2000-01-01, presented in hexadecimal characters.
X is the type of node (e.g. C12T).
S2 is the serial number of the individual C12 node (xxxx0,
xxxx1or xxxx2).
C is the channel of the measurement standard.
Example 1: INFRA_60300_0_101_0dedff51.log
Example 2: ‘C12T_60302_1_12_0733b551.interval
Note! Interval and transient files are node specific. Log files are common
for the C12 instrument.
