9. Maintenance and Calibration
The recommended calibration interval of the C12 is 12 months. If a
C12 is mounted long term it is accepted to increase the interval to 24
months. Local measurement standards may state other intervals.
The C12 is a precision sensor which makes it sensitive to shock. If it
is dropped on a hard surface it must be recalibrated.
Instructions for updating firmware of the C12 can be found on the
INFRA support web pages. Please use Firmware load in INFRA Net
Manager.
To keep the C12 dry and protect the electronics from corrosion,
check/replace the desiccants bag in the electronics compartment
regularly. It is recommended to check once per year and change
every two years. If any suspicion of moisture inside the case, find the
cause, dry it out and replace the desiccant bag. If sent to repair after
damage from moisture, please remove both main battery and the
backup battery to minimize the damage.
If sent to repair, please carefully write down the description of the
problem. It is also recommended contacting Sigicom before sending
the unit for repair.
