After transition into monitoring mode, a new status file and an interval file
will be generated and transferred to the data server (see section 5.4.1).
If SMS function is enabled, a REGON SMS will be sent. There may also
be a ‘low battery warning’ or ‘Compact Flash full’ SMS, if any of these
conditions are fulfilled (SMS is not sent in monitoring off mode).
When in monitoring mode, the instrument is ready to measure according
to the parameter settings made. If a trigger is detected (a measured value
is above the threshold), this is indicated with a steady green light of the
Reg LED during the recording of the transient data file. This file will then
be uploaded and a TRIG SMS (if configured) will be sent.
5.2.1. Sensor Test
Directly after starting monitoring mode, each vibration sensor will be
tested by activating an electronic pulse and then evaluating the response
of the sensor signal. The purpose of this sensor test is to check that:
• Each vibration sensor works as it should.
• Your C12 instrument is correctly mounted.
If any of the test pulses from the vibration sensor indicate errors:
• The Check LED will flash in red, synchronously with the green
Reg LED during the transition phase (some seconds);
• The REGON SMS will begin “SENSOR TEST ERROR”
• Monitoring will continue even if sensor test error is detected.
The test pulses are recorded and saved in each transient file and can be
viewed in the Triax/ Multi Reports in INFRA Net.
The analyzed result of the sensor test is also uploaded to be presented in
the Remote module of INFRA Net.
