4.1.7. SMS Settings
C12 can be configured to send SMS directly to up to 16 receivers. Two
categories of SMS are supported:
dataSMS is generated when a trigger event has occurred.
‘service’ SMS are generated after start of monitoring or when
different events occur, such as low battery, memory card almost
full etc.
A message includes ‘project ID text’, time, ‘node ID text’ and data values
or service text etc.
All SMS settings, including a note of the receiver’s name, can be altered
using INFRA Net.
The configuration file named smsdest.txtis used for the SMS settings.
This file defines the SMS receivers by one row per receiver. A receiver
can be setup to receive data messages and/or service messages using
different prefixes prior to the phone numbers:
‘/’ Deactivated receiver.
‘S’ Service messages only.
‘A’ Both data and service messages.
No prefix Data messages only.
After the phone number, a note of the receivers name can be entered.
