5.3. Stop Monitoring
To manually stop monitoring, press the buttons B1 and B2 simultaneously
for three seconds. The Reg LED (green) will flash fast to indicate the
mode transition. The transition time may vary depending on any final
measurement activities.
After the transition, a new status file and an interval file will be generated
and transferred to the data server.
When monitoring is turned off, the Comm LED (yellow) will continue to
flash until all files in the ‘spool’ directory are uploaded. After that the
Comm LED will flash synchronous with the Check LED (white or red)
for 60 seconds to indicate the GSM signal strength (see Comm LED in
section 2.2).
5.4. Data Server Connection
When data server connection (upload) is mentioned in this document, this
normally refers to the internal file processing, GSM communication and
file transfer to the data server etc. The C12 indicates GSM communication
by flashing its Comm LED.
During the data server connection, all data files in the /data/spool
directory of the CompactFlash are sent to the data server. If there are
connection problems, three connection retries are done. If this does not
succeed, the instrument will try again at next (automatic or manual) data
server connection time.
Note that all data also may be stored on the CompactFlash (archiving) for
extra data security, see section 6.4.
5.4.1. Automatic Data Server Connection
An automatic data server connection will be done at the following
situations:
• After start or stop of monitoring.
• After a transient recording.
• When an error has been detected.
• When scheduled.
