3.4. Data Storage on CompactFlash
All data files are stored on the CompactFlash according to the structure
‘\data\M\N\R.L’:
M Serial number of the C12 instrument.
N Network number (N = 1 for C12).
R Day of the monitoring start (YYYYMMDD).
L Number of monitoring starts during that day.
Openfiles are stored in the sub-directorycurrent. After a file has been
closed, it is copied to the ‘\data\spooldirectory to be sent to the data
server at next connection, and then moved to the sub directory archive
for backup (if so configured). Moving files to archivemay be disabled
by the configuration file noarchive.txtset to ‘1’, e.g. to prevent the
memory card from becoming full.
During the data server connection, files, which have been successfully
sent from the ‘\data\spooldirectory, are removed.
If manual reading of files is needed (e.g. after GSM problems), only files
in ‘\data\spoolshould be needed to be copied to the data server and then
removed from ‘\data\spool.
If used, the archive directories must be manually deleted regularly.
Otherwise the memory card will eventually become full. Check the
directories creation date to decide which directories to delete. If unsure,
check in the post-processing system (e.g. INFRA Net) for missing data
before deleting any files on the memory card.
