8.4 Opening/closing
pressure valve

~ Ensure that no body parts (e.g. hand or
arm) are above the pressure valve1
when you open this using the pressure
valve button 2 and steam escapes.
There is a danger of being scalded by
escaping steam.
The pressure valve button 2 allows you
to open and close the pressure valve1.
NOTE:
the pressure valve
button 2 is more matte
at the bottom than at the
top. The matte part is only
visible when the pressure
valve1 is closed.
8.5 Pressure indicator
DANGER! Risk of injury from

~ Before each use, you must check to en-
sure that the underside of the pressure
indicator27 is clean and moves freely
(see “Preparations before each use” on
page 59).
~ Ensure that no body parts (e.g. hand or
arm) are above the pressure indica-
tor19 when steam escapes from it.
The pressure indicator19 is a valve located
in a recess in the lid5. Hot steam can flow
out of this valve when pressure has built up
inside the Multi-Pot. You can see that the
Multi-Pot is pressurised when the pressure in-
dicator19 is lifted.
Opening Closing
