Warning:
- High voltage can be dangerous, especially to people with a pacemaker.
- Touching live parts of the charging bar/electrode will cause a dangerous electric
shock.
6.1 Switching the mains voltage on/off
- Switching on = Switch to position [ l ].
- Switching off = Switch to position [ 0 ].
When switching on the generator, the limit LED will flash for 2 seconds.
After 2 seconds the background lighting on the display will slowly illuminate and information will
be shown about the generator. This information includes:
- The generator type (e.g. “CM5-60N”)
- The firmware version
- The communication bus address
- In some cases additional information
This information is displayed for 2 seconds and then the generator continues to start.
When the generator is switched on for the first time or when the factory settings are reset, the
generator will first need to be set up via a quick configuration ("initial setup") (see 6.2). In all
other cases the generator will start normally and the main menu will be displayed (see 6.4). The
generator always starts up in the mode that was active when the generator was switched off.
6.2 Configuring the generator via the ‘Initial setup’ (Quick Init) menu
The ‘Initial setup’ or quick configuration menu is used to quickly configure the generator. After
running through and configuring a few common base settings, you can then quickly start using
the generator.
As soon as “[Initial setup]” appears in the display, this means that the generator still needs to
be configured for use. Depress [
] / [ ] to select another setting. Once the correct setting has
been selected, depress [ ] to actually activate and enable this setting.
The ‘initial setup’ menu is proceeded through as follows.
Note:
When carrying out a quick configuration, some parts may be skipped depending on the
selections that have been made.
