Appendix VI Quick Init installation configuration examples
Using a few examples, some common generator settings will be set using the Quick Init menu.
Note:
These examples can only be carried out when a generator comes from the factory or if the
factory settings have been reset.
Example 1.
Via the Quick Init menu the generator must be configured as follows:
- The generator must operate in Local mode.
- The generator must operate in Voltage Control (VC) mode.
- The External Remote HV On/Off mode is not used.
Step 1: Switch the generator on. After a short time the following text appears:
“[Initial setup]”
“Use as standard ECM:”
“YES”
Step 2: Depress the [ ] and/or [ ] key until the flashing text “YES” changes to “NO”.
Step 3: Depress [ ]. The following text appears:
“[Initial setup]”
“Operating mode:”
“Local”
Step 4: Depress [ ]. The following text appears:
“[Initial setup]”
“Control mode:”
“VC”
Step 5: Depress [ ]. The following text appears:
“[Initial setup]”
“Remote HV on/off”
“source: Continuous”
Step 6: Depress [ ]. The CM5 generator will now start up in the set configuration.
