[ ] Access to the menu and menu items/Accept changed parameters/Activate the HV
in RunButton mode.
[ESC] Exit the menu and menu items/Exit the RunButton mode.
6.6 Displaying the current Voltage setpoint/current
Depress the [] or [] key. The set voltage and current limit are now shown on the display.
The set values are shown for as long as the key is depressed. After releasing the key the main
screen is displayed again after 2 seconds.
6.7 Changing the Voltage setpoint/current
Note:
- Avoid unnecessarily high output voltages, otherwise spark-over can occur on the
charging bars or electrodes. This will impair the reliability and proper functioning of
the charging process.
Note:
Ensure that the generator is operating in the local mode, otherwise this function does not
work.
Depress the [ ] / [ ] key. The currently set values will now be shown on the display. Depress
the [ ] / [ ] key again to change the setpoint value. In VC mode the Voltage Setpoint will be
changed, whilst in CC or AdvCC mode the Current Setpoint will be changed. If the keys are not
operated for longer than 2 seconds, the main screen is displayed again.
To raise/lower the setpoint more rapidly, depress the [ ] / [ ] keys for longer. The longer the
keys are depressed, the faster the value changes. Also, the value initially changes in steps of
0.1 kV or mA and after a short time in steps of 1.0 kV or mA.
Increase the output voltage until the desired value is reached. Then set the output voltage
approx. 10% higher to accommodate process fluctuations.
6.8 Keyboard lock
The keyboard on the CM5 can be locked. Simultaneously depress the [] and [] keys for
about 1 second. The “ ” symbol appears on the screen. The keyboard is now locked. When the
keyboard is locked it is not possible to change the Setpoint value of the generator. By using the
[ ], [ ], [] and [] keys, the currently set Setpoint values can still be displayed.
Simultaneously depress the [] and [] keys again for about 1 second. The “ ” symbol now
disappears from the screen. The keyboard is unlocked again and can be used to change the
Setpoint settings of the generator.
Note:
If the keyboard has been locked via the menu, it CANNOT be unlocked by simultaneously
depressing the [] and [] keys. In this case the “
” symbol flashes 5 times to indicate that
the keyboard remains locked. In order to unlock the keyboard in this case, you will need to
access the menu.
