8 Maintenance
Warning:
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.
- Keep the generator free of moisture, dust, dirt and chemicals.
- Regularly check the earthing of the generator.
- Regularly check the high voltage connectors and cables for damage.
- The generator does not contain any parts that require regular maintenance.
- For maintenance to the connected bars/electrodes, see the accompanying manual.
9 Faults
Warning:
- Disconnect the power supply before carrying out work on the unit.

Limit LED remains

Problem with the
generator firmware.
Generator is faulty. Send the generator for
repair, see section 10 .
No output voltage
Display is off
No supply voltage Switch on supply
voltage.
Supply voltage too low Problem has nothing to
do with the CM5.
Fuse faulty at the rear
of the generator
Replace the fuse.
Generator is faulty Send the generator for
repair, see section 10.
No access to the
menu. Depressed the
[ ] key, but nothing
happened.
Access to the menu is
locked.
Switch on the menu (see
section 6.3).
No output voltage
Display is on
” indicator on
No setpoint has been
entered.
Enter setpoint (see
section 6.7).
Generator is faulty Send the generator for
repair, see section 10.
No output voltage
Display is on
” indicator off
The generator is
operating in remote
mode with the bus
remote active. The
output is not activated.
Switch on the high
voltage via the bus. To
do this see the CM5
interface description for
the serial bus that is
being used.
