9 DEVICE AND SEGMENT ADDRESS
The device and segment address are used as destinations in the bus
system (like a mailing address).
Each device must have a correct address in order to permit commu-
nications.
Device LPB address
The LPB device address is particularly important when using combi-
nations of units or in a system. Addresses classify controllers in a
segment.
LPB segment address
Segment address is particularly important in systems.
This parameter can divide the system up into a number of seg-
ments.
Input:
A bus segment consists of a number of devices used in the same
place of application. All devices in a segment must have the same seg-
ment address.
N.B.: Parameter 141 need not be modified for the systems listed
above.
The parameters listed in the tables below may be used to return to
the factory settings if the parameters have been changed inadver-
tently and you wish to change them back to the original conditions.
Now follow the instructions provided in the sections on the various
suggested systems.
