1 INTRODUCTION
The “Albatros RVA43.222” is constructed as a controller for one
single or two-stage boiler or as a cascade controller for operation of
up to sixteen boilers.
It is designed to be integrated in a heat generation system with the
following boilers:
– RMG/RS Mk.II
– EKO
– RX F/B
– 2R GT
The system is based on the principal of climate control (with an out-
door temperature auxiliary) for the heating circuit and permits pre-
paration for an optional additional external hot water tank.

The panel which the user sees upon opening the door is illustrated
below.
2.1 KEY FUNCTIONS

ON (illuminated pushbutton): hot water is heated accor-
ding to the settings entered
OFF (dark pushbutton): hot water protection remains
active and prevents the temperature in the hot water
tank from dropping below a given level
– Chimney sweep function
Burner stages 1 and 2 are triggered and loads are
blocked to permit the boiler to reach a temperature of
64°C as quickly as possible. When this temperature has
been reached the boiler pumps and local pumps (LPB
system) start working again. The function generates the
status required for measurement of combustion perfor-
mance.

2.2 PARAMETER SETTING LEVELS
There are 3 levels of parameters setting:
– final user 1....................50
– installer 51..................173
– manufacturer (OEM) 1....................92
To enter one of these modes you must follow specific instructions,
which are given below in tables illustrating the sequence of buttons to
be pushed.
2.2.1 User Level
A number of different settings may be entered to satisfy the individual
needs of end users: for example, weekly heating and hot water sche-
dules, the slope of the heating curve used to vary the delivery tempe-
rature setpoint, the setpoint of the hot water temperature, and the
summer/winter switchover temperature. Refer to section 10 for a
complete list.
