The following procedure is required only for Revision 1.01.01 firmware in the
4005, 4020, 4100, and 4120 panels.
1. Follow the installation procedures described in the appropriate section of
this chapter, but do not connect the RINGx (RED) wires from each of the
two TELCO cables.
2. Install the DACT programmer cable and have the terminal ready.
3. Power up the system. The green LED (PWR/COMM) on the DACT will
blink for approximately 11 minutes. During this time you will not be able to
program the DACT.
4. (4005 installations only) Program your system to enable the DACT/City
option and make any other panel programming changes.
5. (4005 installations only) Exit the programming mode.
6. Watch the DACT LEDs. Once the green and yellow LEDs turn on together,
you will have about 30 seconds to enter the DACT programming mode from
the terminal. Program the DACT as described in the programing section of
this manual. The exception is that you will connect the RINGx (RED) wires
from each of the two TELCO cables before exiting the DACT programmer.
