9 (Optional) Create a vNIC Placement
Policy.
In the "Create vNIC Placement Policy"
dialog, set the Selection Preference
for virtual slot 1 and slot 2 to Assigned
Only.
10 Create a LAN Connectivity Policy. In the "Create LAN Connectivity Policy"
wizard, add the 4 vNICs created in
Task 8.
11 Create a Service Profile Template. You can accept the defaults in the
"Create Service Profile Template"
wizard, but these settings are required:
■ Network: For LAN connectivity,
select the Use Connectivty
Policy radio button. Click the LAN
Connectivity Policy menu and
select the policy from Task 10.
■ Storage: Click the Local Storage
menu and select the Local Disk
Config Policy from Task 4.
■ vNIC/HBA Placement: Click the
Select Placement menu and select
the vNIC Placement Policy from
Task 9.
■ Server Boot Order: Click the Boot
Policy menu and select the Boot
Policy from Task 4.
■ Server Assignment: Under
Firmware Management, click the
Host Firmware menu and select
the Host Firmware Package Policy
from Task 4.
■ Operational Policies: Click the BIOS
Policy menu and select the BIOS
