Raise presser foot, loosen screw, and
slip blindstitch hem guide between
screw and shank of foot as shown.
Tighten screw.
Mark, fold and press hem. Baste a
guideline at least 1.3cm (1/2") from the
top edge of the hem.
With the wrong side up, turn the hem
under, creating a soft fold from top edge
of the hem.
Position the hem under the presser foot
with the soft fold resting against the wall
of guide. Make sure the flange of the
guide is between soft fold and top of
hem as shown.
Lower presser foot. Stitch so that
straight stitch fall on the hem edge and
the sideward stitches pierce the soft fold
of work. Adjust stitch width if necessary.
While stitching, guide hem edge in a
straight line and feed soft fold evenly
against wall of the guide.
