SAFETY INFORMATION
WARNING
- See an authorized Ski-Doo dealer for current specific
studding availability and applications.
- DO NOT EVER use conventional stud because, the
track thickness is thinner then our standard tracks
and the stud could tear off of track and separate from
vehicle.
- Studs should only be installed in the locations indicated
by molded bulges in the track surface. Some track
models have two types of molded bulges; triangles and
circles. See the warning molded into the track surface
to know which one to use.
- Never stud a track with a profile of 35 mm (1-3/8 in) or
more.
- The number of studs installed must always perfectly
match the pattern of molded bulges in the track.
- Always consult the traction product manufacturer’s
installation instructions and recommendations before
having your dealer install studs and runners. It is very
important to follow the torque specifications for the stud
bolts.
INSTALLING AN INCORRECT NUMBER OF STUDS OR
AN IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN INCREASE THE
RISK OF THE TRACK TEARING OR SEVERING.
Maintenance/Replacement
PROCEED WITH A VISUAL INSPECTION OF YOUR TRACK
BEFORE EACH USE.
Look for any defects, such as:
- Perforations in the track
- Tears in the track (particularly around traction holes on
studded tracks)
- Lugs that are broken or torn off, exposing portions of rods
- Delamination of the rubber
- Broken rods
- Broken studs (studded tracks)
- Bent studs (studded tracks)
