Section 1 - About Your Telehandler Safety Rules
Safety Precautions (Continued)
Know and understand all safety precautions before going on to the next section.
DO NOT exceed the maximum safe operating
slope.
DO NOT use frame
leveling when boom
is elevated. It is
recommended that frame
leveling be used only
when boom is retracted
and in the lowered
position.
DO NOT use the frame
leveling mechanism to
compensate for swinging
loads.
DO NOT enter the danger area under or around
the boom when forks are off the ground or while
engine is running.
DO NOT lower the boom
unless the area below is
clear of personnel and
obstruction.
DO NOT elevate the boom
while the telehandler is on
a truck, forklift or other
device or vehicle.
ENSURE that there are no
personnel or obstructions
in the path of travel,
including blind spots.
BE AWARE of blind
spots when operating the
telehandler.
ALWAYS Keep head,
arms, hands, legs and all
other body parts inside
the operator’s cab.
AVOID jerks and sudden
stops.
AVOID entanglement
with ropes, cords or
hoses.
