Chapter 15
Importing into .notebook
Files
In addition to creating objects and adding them to the Gallery, you can import text,
pictures, background pages and other content from a variety of sources. The method
you choose depends on the kind of information you want to add to the file.
You can:
• Capture screens, windows, and regions (page 100).
• Attach a copy of a file (page 80), shortcut to a file (page 81) or link to a Web page
(page 81).
• Insert graphics files from your computer (page 35).
• Paste text.
NOTE
• SMART Notebook supports certain file types only when your computer is
connected to a SMART product.
• If you import a file that SMART Notebook doesn’t support, it appears in the
Attachments tab. You can open attached files using third-party software but
you’re not able to add them to a page.
• SMART Notebook supports the .flv video format and .mp3 audio format,
whether or not your computer is connected to a SMART product.
