unused for long periods of time. As a result, the charge indicator (a flashing icon
displayed during the recharge process) may not reflect the actual battery status reliably.
If the battery status icon does not reflect the actual battery condition (the battery goes flat
too early or vice-versa), you may want to re-synchronize it by doing the following:
1) Turn the unit off and plug the power cord into an AC outlet. The battery will
enter the fast recharge mode, with the charging symbol flashing on the upper
right corner of the LCD screen. When the battery voltage reaches a certain
value, the unit will automatically switch to slow charge mode and the symbol will
disappear. Do NOT disconnect the unit from the AC supply at this stage. Let it
recharge for a minimum of 15 h., or up to 48 h. if the battery was completely
exhausted.
2) Unplug the power cord, switch the PME-500-TR on and wait until it switches
itself off by lack of power. Do NOT use the backlight to accelerate the process.
When the unit switches itself off, the battery status indicator will be back into
synch. Now, proceed to perform a full recharge before using the equipment.

WARRANTY

The warranty covers the free replacement or repair of defective components for one year
in the terms specified in the supplied warranty statement and registration card.
Damages resulting from improper handling of the product, use outside the scope and
limits of the product’s specifications, negligence, installation not in accordance with the
standards or warnings listed in the Instructions Manual and servicing or manipulation by
unauthorized persons are not covered by the warranty.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
EUROSMC guarantees the supply of materials and components for its products up to 3
years after discontinuation. This support is extendable to 5 years for technical service.
