How to configure the HI-TIPPLUS* and the aTIP* system
How to configure the HI-TIP
PLUS
* and the aTIP* system
The HI-TIP
PLUS
system provides a library divided into main
categories and subcategories containing combined com-
plete threat images* and images of individual threat ob-
jects. For the aTIP system another library is used from
which threat images can be selected and projected indi-
vidually for every user of the X-ray unit (adaptive library).
If, apart from the HI-TIP
PLUS
system, the unit is also
equipped with the aTIP system* and if an appropriate pro-
jection list is available for the logged-in user, the system
will automatically switch over from the HI-TIP
PLUS
system
to the aTIP system*. Then, only the threat images from the
adaptive library are used.
I
If the X-ray unit is equipped with the HI-TIP
PLUS
system*, the login procedure (F 2-10) should be activ-
ated to be able to keep user related statistics. For the aTIP system* the login procedure is indispens-
able since the projections are already user related!
As user with supervisor access level you specify:
if the TIP system is active or not (Enable TIP projections - F 2-51)
from which categories and at which percentage in proportion to the other categories combined threat im-
ages* and single threat objects are projected during the normal operational flow (selecting percentage -
F 2-53) (only applies to the HI-TIP
PLUS
system).
I
You can also add, edit and delete categories (F 2-52) and import complete threat image libraries
from CDs, DVDs, ZIP disks or USB memories in units equipped with a newer software (F 2-54).
which images from a category are to be projected and which ones are not (activate images - F 2-55) (only
applies to the HI-TIP
PLUS
system).
the number of projections compared with the number of real bags (bags per projection (bag ratio) -
F 2-56).
the diversification of projections around the number of real bags (diversification range (bag range) -
F 2-56).
how many projections are made randomly rather than within the diversification range (random projec-
tions (random ratio) - F 2-56).

I
For dual view units as well as for the
aTIP system possibly corresponding lib-
raries may have to be installed (impor-
ted) (F 2-54).
I
The projection lists related to individual
users are transferred via network* by
the Heimann Management Console
HMC*.
I
In order to test your configurations, you
have to log in as user with operator ac-
cess level.
