Calculated Parameters
B.1 INTRODUCTION
The 7828 Density Transmitter is capable of calculating a number of parameters based on
the measured line density and temperature. These calculated parameters are often
referred to as ‘special functions’. Only one calculated parameter is available at any one
time; it can be used to control the analog (4-20mA) output, and can also be accessed as a
digital value (Modbus Register 260).
This section describes the algorithms used in these calculations.
The availability of the calculated parameters is dependent on whether Matrix or API is
chosen as the density referral method.
