Why is my SOLIS Inverter showing an OV-DC error?
    • D
      denise82Sep 12, 2025
The OV-DC error on your SOLIS Inverter indicates that the inverter detects high DC voltage. To troubleshoot, with the DC switch OFF, check the DC voltage at the inverter test points. If the DC voltage is high, check the string configuration. With the DC switch ON, check the LCD reading, as there may be a bad measurement circuit. If the issue persists, replace the inverter.

What causes an OV-G-F (Over Grid Frequency) error on a SOLIS S5 Inverter?
    • D
      Diane JohnsSep 12, 2025
The OV-G-F error on your SOLIS Inverter indicates that the inverter detects the grid frequency as being too high. To troubleshoot, with the DC switch OFF, check the frequency at the inverter test points. If the frequency measures high, adjust the upper limit with permission from the utility. Also, check the LCD reading, as it may be a bad measurement circuit. With the DC switch ON, check the grid standard. If the issue persists, replace the inverter.

What to do if a SOLIS Inverter shows UN-G-V (Under Grid Voltage) error?
    • M
      Marcus AlvarezSep 9, 2025
If your SOLIS Inverter is showing a UN-G-V error, it means the inverter detects the grid voltage as being too low. To troubleshoot, with the DC switch OFF, check the AC voltage at the inverter test points. If the AC voltage measures low, adjust the lower limit with permission from the utility. Also, check the LCD voltage reading, as it may be a bad measurement circuit. With the DC switch ON, check the grid standard. If the issue persists, replace the inverter.

Why does my SOLIS Inverter display an OV-G-V (Over Grid Voltage) error?
    • C
      Christopher GillSep 8, 2025
The OV-G-V error on your SOLIS Inverter indicates that the inverter detects the grid voltage as being too high. To resolve this, with the DC switch OFF, check the AC voltage at the inverter. If the AC voltage measures high, adjust the upper limit with permission from the utility company. With the DC Switch ON and at full power, check the AC voltage at the inverter test points and compare it with the LCD reading. If the AC voltage still measures high, the cables between the inverter and the interconnect might be too small. Check the ampacity and voltage drop calculations.

What to do if my SOLIS S5 Inverter shows an ARC-FAULT error?
    • K
      karenbishopSep 7, 2025
If your SOLIS Inverter is showing an ARC-FAULT error, inspect the installation. Check the cable with a string tester, physically check the cables, and inspect panel junction boxes and cable connections. You can also try resetting the inverter. If the problem persists, consider replacing the inverter.
  • M
    Mrs. Jennifer GainesAug 23, 2025
What should I check if my SOLIS Inverter has no grid voltage?
    • U
      ubrooksAug 23, 2025
If your SOLIS Inverter indicates no grid voltage, first check the connections and the grid switch. Then, check the grid voltage inside the inverter terminal.
  • D
    denise95Sep 5, 2025
What to do if SOLIS S5 is internally damaged?
    • E
      Elizabeth HancockSep 5, 2025
If the SOLIS Inverter is internally damaged, do not turn off the DC switches, as this will further damage the inverter. Wait for the solar irradiance to reduce and confirm the string current is less than 0.5A with a clip-on ammeter before turning off the DC switches. Note that damages due to wrong operations are not covered under warranty.
  • T
    Tara EdwardsSep 4, 2025
How to resolve grid interference with SOLIS Inverter?
    • E
      ericbakerSep 4, 2025
If the SOLIS Inverter is experiencing grid interference, try restarting the inverter. If the problem continues, consider changing the power board.
  • X
    xbryantSep 3, 2025
What to do if SOLIS Inverter shows over DC bus voltage?
    • V
      victorpughSep 3, 2025
If the SOLIS Inverter shows over DC bus voltage, check the inverter inductor connection and the driver connection.
  • K
    Kathleen WilsonSep 2, 2025
What to do if SOLIS S5 Inverter detects arc in DC circuit?
    • L
      Lindsey BeckerSep 2, 2025
If the SOLIS Inverter detects an arc in the DC circuit, check the inverter connection for any signs of an arc and then restart the inverter.
