Changing the menu settings
POWER
Icon/item Mode Meaning switch
WORLD TIME To set the clock to the local time. Turn the SEL/ CAMERA
PUSH EXEC dial to set a time difference. The MEMORY
clock changes by the time difference you set
here. If you set the time difference to 0. tile clock
returns to the originally set time.
BEEP MELODY To output the melody when you start/stop VCR
recording o1"when all t/nt/stlal condition occurs CAMERA
on your camcorder. MEMORY
NORMAL To output the beep instead of the melody.
OFF To cancel tile melody and beep sound.
COMMANDER ON To activate tile Remote Commander supplied VCR
with your camcorder. CAMERA
OFF To deactivate tile Remote Commander to avoid MEMORY
remote control misoperation caused by other
VCR's remote control.
DISPLAY LCD To show the display on tile LCD screen and in VCR
tile viewfinder. CAMERA
V OUT/LCD To show tile display on tile TV screen, LCD MEMORY
screen and in tile viewfinder.
REC LAMP ON
To light up the camera recording lamp at the CAMERA
h'ont of your camcorder. MEMORY
OFF To turn tile camera recording lamp off so that
tile person is not aware of tile recording.
VIDEO EDIT To make program and perform video editing VCR
(p. 64).
EDIT SET TO adjust and set tile synchronicity of your VCR
camcorder and a VCR fur dubhing ill edit set
mode.

Note
If you press DISPLAY with DISPLAY set to V OUT/LCD in the Tnentlsettings, the
picttu e from a TV o1"VCR will not appear on tile LCD screen even when your
camcorder is connected to outputs on tile TV or VCR.
When recording a close subject
When REC LAMP is set to ON, tile red camera recording lamp on the Dont of tile
camcorder may reflect on tile subject if it is close. In this case, we recommend you set
REC LAMP to OFF.
In more than five minutes after removing the power source
Tile "AUDIO MIX", 'COMMANDER", "HiFi SOUND", and "WHT BAL" items are
returned to their factoW settings.
The other menu items are held in memo1T even when the battery is removed.
