Troubleshooting
Symptom
Displaying tile recorded
date, date search flmction
does not work.
Tile Flew sound Flow being
added, or that has been

Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• Tile tape has no cassette memory.
+ Use a tape with cassette memory. (p. 67, 143)
• CM SEARCH is set to OFF in the menu settings.
Set it to ON. (p. 107)
• Tile tape has a blank portion in the recorded portion. (p. 68)
• AUDIO MIX is set to ST1 side in the menu settings.
") Set it to the side you want to monitor. (p. 107)
• TITLE DSPL is set to OFF in tile menu settings.
+ Set it to ON. (p. 107)
+ Pull out the A/V connecting cable fl'om the AUDIO L/R
and VIDEO jacks, then connect it again.
Symptom
Tile power does not turn on.
Tile end search flmction
does not work.
Tile end search flmction
does not work correctly.
Tile picture does not appear
in the viewfinder.
The battery pack is quickly
discharged.
The battery remaining
indicator does not indicate
the correct time.
Cause and/or Corrective Actions
• Tile battery pack is not installed, or is dead or nearly dead.
÷ Install a charged battery pack. (p. 9, 10)
• Tile AC power adaptor is not connected to a wall outlet.
Connect the AC power adaptor to a wall outlet. (p. 13)
• Tile tape was ejected after recording when using a tape
without cassette memory. (p. 25, 29)
• You have not recorded on the Flew cassette yet. (p. 25, 29)
• Tile tape has a blank portion in the beginning or middle.
(p. 25)
• Tile LCD panel is open.
÷ Close the LCD panel. (p. 17)
• Tile operating temperature is too low.
• Tile battery pack is not folly charged.
÷ Charge tile battery pack fully. (p. 10)
• Tile battery pack is completely dead, and cannot be
recharged.
