5. CALIBRATION
5.1. DESCRIPTION
The Calibration Mode is only accessible from power up. The Setaflash Series 3 Flash Point Testers are
calibrated for temperature using a single point method. The procedure is carried out via the panel controls
and requires a reference thermometer and some thermo-conductive paste. The Setaflash Series 3 is
provided with an aperture at the right hand side of the cup/heating block assembly for insertion of the
reference thermometer, allowing accurate verification and calibration of the cup/heating block assembly
temperature.
5.2. SCHEDULE
1) The temperature measurement/control should be calibrated at 6 monthly intervals.
5.3. PROCEDURE
Insert a small amount of thermo-
conductive paste into the
Thermometer Aperture.
Insert a 0 - 110°C calibrated
reference thermometer (Seta
13751-0 recommended) as far
into the Thermometer Aperture
as it will go.

Press hold down the Set

and Set Timer
