Do not use an external timer. Connect the pump for the backflushing directly to a mains
outlet.
To carry out backflushing, proceed as follows:
1. Switch the pump
off by pulling the power plug.
2. Make sure that the backflush line
has been installed correctly.
3. Press and hold down the valve lever
on the valve head
.
4. Set the valve lever to the "RÜCKSPÜLEN" position and release it.
The lever engages at the "Rückspülen" position.
5. Connect the pump's power plug to the power supply.
6. Switch on the pump
by pressing the ON/OFF button on the timer
.
7. Carry out backflushing until you can see clean water through the sight glass
(max. 2 minutes).
Pay attention to the pressure indicator on the manometer. The pressure must not exceed 1 bar
during backflushing. If the pressure rises above 1 bar, clean the filter balls.
8. Switch off the pump
by pressing the ON/OFF button on the timer
.
9. Press and hold down the valve lever
on the valve head
.
10. Set the valve lever to the "NACHSPÜLEN" position and release it.
The lever engages at the "Nachspülen" position.
11. Switch on the pump
by pressing the ON/OFF button on the timer
.
12. Let the pump run for 20 to 30 seconds to remove any residue in the valve head.
13. Switch off the pump
by pressing the ON/OFF button on the timer
.
14. Press and hold down the valve lever
on the valve head
.
15. Set the valve lever to the “FILTERN" position and release it.
The lever engages at the "FILTERN" position.
The backwashing is completed.
The next time you operate the device in “FILTERN" mode, pay attention to the pressure
indicator on the manometer. Heavily soiled filter balls cause high pressure in the filter
vessel. If the pressure rises above 1 bar, clean the filter balls.
Exchanging the filter medium
The filter medium used (quartz filter sand and filter balls) must be exchanged before the
swimming season begins.
1. Pull the power plug of the pump
.
2. Close the shut-off valves or block the water flow to the pool lines.
3. Screw in the drainage opening
so that it comes out of the base of the filter vessel
.
4. Completely drain the water from the filter vessel.
5. Screw the drainage opening into the filter vessel.
6. Remove the locking ring
by unscrewing the wing nut
counterclockwise.
7. Put aside the locking ring and its screws.
8. Slowly turn the filter vessel on its head and empty out the quartz filter sand.
9. Remove the filter lock
.
10. Remove the divider
, filter container
, filter units
and screen
one after the other.
11. Remove the elbow
of the check valve.
12. Thoroughly rinse the individual parts under running water.
13. Rinse the filter vessel with clean water.
