Stihl FS 45 - Loop Handle; Drive Tube

•
Pull out the fuel hoses with
pickup body.
Note: To simplify installation, coat
the lower half of the grommet with
oil.
•
Pull the pickup body off the fuel
hose.
•
Remove the cap (1).
•
Pull out the filter (2) and fit a new
one.
Assemble in the reverse sequence.
•
Unscrew the wingnut (1).
•
Pull out the screw (2).
•
Slip the loop handle off the drive
tube.
Install in the reverse sequence.
•
Fit the loop handle at distance
"A" = 9 cm (3.5") from the engine
housing and tighten down firmly.
•
Take out the fixing screw (1).
•
Release the clamp screws (2).
•
Release the clamp screws (1).
•
Remove the drive tube (2).
- To replace the drive tube,
remove the clamp screw from
the deflector.
•
Pull the deflector off the end of
the drive tube.
